MUSIC LINE-UP BULLPEN BBQ
KOYT Koyote Radio’s biggest fundraiser of the year is coming fast! Hosted by Bookshelf Winery and Venue; located off of Burnt Valley Rd on the historic Red Skeleton Ranch. This year’s theme is Western BBQ, there will be a scrumptious BBQ Dinner with a drink from the Saloon included. We’ll have a Hat & Craft Bar, a Silent Auction, a Lasso Demonstration by Paul Larson,and more!

As the event begins, we will be welcomed by our opening act, Joanna Crombie and her husband Steve, both professional multi-talented musicians playing for years are now showcasing their traditional Americana as ‘The Terwilliger Valley String Band’. Joanna and Steve host a monthly Bluegrass & Country Jam at Anza’s Hamilton Museum 3rd Saturdays each month. There, old-timey, bluegrass, country and gospel pickers get together for some high-country jams. As you tour the grounds and begin your time at our Bullpen BBQ they will be enlivening the air with some Ol’Time Music, Traditional Bluegrass and classic American Country instrumentals.
The world-famous Mark Langford will be playing for us during dinner. He’s a new transplant to our mountain, having moved here from his hometown San Diego where his recording studio www.facebook.com/rockandrollsandiego is located. Mark is known for effortlessly bridging Classical, Flamenco, Rock, and Heavy Metal. He has shared the stage with global icons including The Eagles, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, among countless others.
Throughout his career, Mark has been the guitarist of choice for Fortune 500 companies as well. His clients include AT&T, Audi, Hertz, Kinko’s, MCI, Merck, Merrill Lynch, Mitsubishi, Pfizer, among hundreds of others. He has also performed for dignitaries such as President Gerald Ford, former president of Mexico Vicente Fox, Governor Pete Wilson, several U.S. Congress members, California State Assemblymen, and San Diego mayors.
We are truly grateful for his support and feel lucky to have him serenade us at our events. Mark’s album, released in 2025, is based on Irish Poetry and recorded with several top names in the industry. His single ‘Summer Daze’ was released on August 1 on all music streaming platforms. He just released his cool new music video “Artemis Too Much” from the album he’s currently working on with Mark Langford guitar, John Avila on bass, Michael Leasure on drums. After dinner, renowned musician and songwriter Francesca Brown will continue the event. Francesca is a California native, with midwestern roots, who describes her sound as a cosmic mash-up somewhere between Emmylou Harris and Loretta Lynn. Her sets usually contain a balanced mix of original songs and classic country and “No modern, Bro-Country.”
After a short stint on the East Coast, Brown made her way back west. She settled first in Los Angeles and eventually moved to the High Country. She currently calls Idyllwild home. After multiple singles and EP’s, Brown’s debut album Stolen Land And Broken Dreams was released in September of 2024 and is available on all streaming sites. Finally, yet importantly, when the party is in full swing ‘The R&D Dept’ will take the stage. Mountain locals David McCraken and Rosilyn Chalfant are both seasoned musicians who recently joined forces to create a harmonic new duo that will be playing Classic Rock and Country hits. Songs from Tom Petty to Fleetwood Mac to Chris Stapleton are just a few examples of what is likely to be in their rotation for the evening. David and Rosilyn have been musicians for decades, both have a lifetime of experience entertaining and will be delighting the crowd the rest of the evening.
