The Uncommon Kitchen Story: Uncommon Kitchen Story
Welcome to The Uncommon Kitchen, the Undisputed Best BBQ in the Inland Empire! We are a family-owned business committed to bringing you the finest BBQ, where quality remains our top priority. Our mission is simple: to serve food that takes you back to a time when everything was real, just like the home-cooked meals from your childhood.
Food is one of those things that transports us back in time. We all have those fond memories of that one dish that was just “everything. Like Granny’s Greens and Auntie Lisa’s Mac-N-Cheese. It’s this spirit our Pit Boss channels into every dish. His famous ribs are not just food—they’re a nod to tradition, creating new memories for today’s generation.
Our journey transition from cooking together in the family kitchen to providing pick up and delivery service during the pandemic. Since then, prayer, determination and a love for sharing our authentic BBQ has grown The Uncommon Kitchen into a beloved destination for BBQ lovers across the Inland Empire. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, we’re proud to be your go-to spot for the best BBQ around.
Currently, you can find us at various pop-up locations throughout Riverside County, but KEEP CALM—our home restaurant in Menifee is under construction, and we can’t wait to welcome you soon!
At The Uncommon Kitchen, we believe in serving more than just food—we serve memories, flavors, and a taste of tradition. Come experience BBQ the way it’s meant to be.
BBQ Artist Brian Amos, Pit Boss at The Uncommon Kitchen: For me, cooking BBQ wasn’t something I planned—it just came naturally. Over time, what started out as something I loved doing became a full-blown passion. I’ve seen firsthand how sharing a good meal can bring people together, mend fences, and create bonds that last a lifetime. That’s the magic of BBQ.
I like to keep things simple. I stick to my recipe, use only the highest quality ingredients, and make sure you get exceptional service every time. I know that eating out is a luxury, and I never take it for granted when people come from miles away just to taste what we’re cooking.
I promise you, when you come to The Uncommon Kitchen, you’re not just getting a meal—you’re getting the best BBQ I know how to make, and a taste of something real. Can’t wait to serve you!
Many of you have met Ms. Sarah at our Anza Farmer’s Market, she is the Curator of Uncommon Sweet Treats & Marketing Manager her bubbly personality and organizing skills will be sure to make this a smooth and sweet experience!
Auntie Lisa, Home Cook & Catering Manager: In the Kitchen is where you’ll find our founder. Having grown up at the side of her Great Grandmother, cooking has always been a source of good times, family bonding and of course, good food. Inspired by her love of traditional food favorites, the joy of feeding people and a desire to usher in 2021 with a something positive, Mother and Daughter-In-Law Lisa and Sarah birthed “The Uncommon Kitchen”. Lisa’s twenty-five years of globetrotting and culinary adventures has given her insight on mixing downhome favorites with globally inspired flavors. To finish off a good meal, Sarah’s passion for the science of baking shines through in her sweet treats. The start of the Uncommon Kitchen was just an extension the everyday lives of these two female entrepreneurs. As a mother of 4 sons and the director of a non-profit that feeds low-income children, feeding people has always been a foundational piece of Lisa’s life and this same passion is being cultivated in the next generation.
The KOYT Koyotes can’t wait for this event, come join us Sat Aug 22nd for some of the best BBQ in SoCal at the historical Red Skeleton Ranch under a beautiful Aug night full of stars!
