“Bullpen bbq”
KOyt’s 5th annual wine & dine fundraiser
Saturday Aug 22nd, come join us for beautiful night in the fresh mountain air at the historic Red Skeleton Ranch! Our generous host this year; Bookshelf Winery & Venue, is run by Natliya and Steve who are working hard to preserve the history of this 100+ acre piece of a ranch spanning years of family, horses, and country living. Old Hollywood would escape to our gorgeous mountain 40 years ago to be together at The Red Skeleton Ranch under the stars and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Purchased by Lothian, Red Skeleton’s wife in 1986, the ranch is set beneath mountain skies with National Forest land stretching out on every side. He and Lothian bred quarter horses and thoroughbreds there, and the property was filled with stallion barns, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, multiple wells, hay barns, and paddocks spreading across the open land in every direction.
Nataliya and Steve are creating a new legacy through their Red Skelton Rescue & Service Dog Society a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing specialized service dogs and emotional support animals. They are building vineyards, making wine, always working on new projects along side restoration of historic buildings and land. They are already welcoming visitors to the ranch for a wide variety of events!
KOYT is so excited to have Steve & Nataliya hosting our 5th Annual Wine & Dine Fundraiser! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year benefitting our ALL volunteer 501c3 nonprofit community powered radio station here in Anza. This year’s event will be held in Red Skeleton’s old bullpen- now well on it’s way to being a beautiful event centerpiece. It is a chance to have a night full of great food, country western ambiance, and experiences to remember in a place chock full of history!
